Sorry Guys, But up until the Forum tonight I'm going to be sending yall a lot of messages.

"Deal also said he did not support raising the minimum GPA."

---Jessica Morris, Writer for GSU Signal (student newspaper)

This was in reference to changes in HOPE scholarship

This was back in January, obviously Deal didnt necessarily hold to that and I personally do not know what could have caused him to change his mind in less than a month. However, this is an example of how quickly politicians can change their minds. This is nothing to take and run with, Im sure there's more to it but it is something I wanted to share with you.

Here is the link to the entire article Jessica wrote

Hello Yall,
The Governor just released his proposals this morning and they include many things.

CONGRESSWOMAN STACEY EVANS WANTS TO HEAR WHAT YOU THINK!

Before the Forum, on Wednesday (tomorrow) Feb 23, Stacey Evans (D-40) and many other Georgia Democrats will be hosting a listening tour regarding the HOPE Scholarship. They want to know how HOPE has helped you, how the changes may hurt you, and what you think of the changes. Im an intern for Congresswoman Evans and she genuinely wants student feedback about HOPE changes. Despite Georgia Democrats' moderate to conservative politics, Ms. Evans is a breath of fresh air (possibly because she's a freshman congresswoman) and I have been working with her in defending public higher education.

It will be tomorrow from 2-4pm ( I will get the room information shortly, like TODAY)

Hello yall,

The University Forum is less than two days away and it is imperative that you come so that more people may learn and engage in discourse. This problem is not going to fix itself and we cannot expect politicians to sincerely look out for our interests. Social change comes from the bottom and it cannot exist without a population educated on the issues which actively participates in political discussion.

WSB just annouced that Governor Nathan Deal will announce his proposals to keep HOPE afloat, here is an article from WSB of what it may entail.
