Dear Friends,
As you may know, a new statue of Stalin was recently installed at The US National D-Day Memorial in Virginia.

The inclusion of Stalin among leaders like Roosevelt and Churchill is fundamentally shocking for anyone with a basic understanding of world history.

1) After signing a 10 year non-aggression pact with Hitler, Stalin invaded Poland just days after Nazi forces invaded it, thereby becoming a willing and enthusiastic participant in starting the Second World War.

2) Stalin did not contribute to the landings at D-Day and his inclusion at the monument has upset many Allied veterans of D-Day who are still alive today.

3) The contributions and sacrifices made by troops of other D-Day nations such as, Canada, Poland, Czech, France, Australia, Netherlands, Norway and others, have not been recognized and should not be minimized by those nations who made no contribution to this important landing.

4) A statue celebrating Stalin is irresponsible as it may distort historical facts surrounding D-Day and may tragically even help to rehabilitate Stalin’s role as one of history’s worst mass murderers.

5) The statue is insulting to the honour of those who made the ultimate sacrifice on D-Day as well as the millions of innocent victims who were murdered by Stalin’s regime of terror.

Please take a moment to sign the petition to remove the Stalin statue from the National D-Day Memorial in Virginia at:
www.stalinstatue.com
And please forward the petition link to your friends and family to ensure that opinion and decision makers in the western world understand that historical revisionism and the rehabilitation of Stalin is not acceptable.

Thanks.

Dear Friends,

Please take a moment to follow the links below to view prototype designs for the online Global Museum on Communism that we’re currently developing for the Washington D.C. based Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation.

We’d like to get your feedback on the designs and have constructed a short survey that we’d ask for you to fill out after viewing the designs. The results of the survey will help identify trends, assist in making final decisions and providing direction for the museum.

Please open the following links in your web browser:
http://www.liefa.com/Museum/gmoc.html
http://www.liefa.com/Museum/exhibit_soviet.html
(Please note that there is little to no functionality in these draft pages, although a draft “Soviet Timeline” can be viewed by clicking on the timeline link in the Soviet Exhibit)

THEN

Please follow this link to fill out a brief survey on the Global Museum on Communism:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=ySl6uyJoeVUQTPYYw1w6LQ_3d_3d

Please send these links and survey to anyone you know who may be interested in viewing the draft site and adding their feedback. I should note that the links will be removed by next Monday evening for security reasons.

Your help and feedback is appreciated.

Thanks!
