After 2 years, Zsolt Peter is finally ready with his outstanding Artifact303 debut album called Back to Space! 2.) FUTURE RELEASES
As announced in the latest newsletter, SUNCD23 will be an album of E-Mantra! This album was just finished and it will be released after the summer… :) The album will be a mix of uptempo, downtempo and more experimental E-Mantra-music. A sequel not to be missed for all the lovers of Arcana!
We also started working on a compilation, and besides that we have more good news, Crossing Mind is working on an album for us! As you can see, 2011 will be another very active and productive music year for us! :)


3.) SUNTRIP T-SHIRTS
In the last newsletter we announced that we would make new Suntrip T-Shirts. In the mean time they are printed and sell like mad, so if you want any of our 3 new T Shirts for the summer festivals, this is the moment! :) You can choose out of 3 prints (in various colours of course):

4.) SUNTRIP WEBSITE DESIGN
Suntrip was started almost 6 years ago. At that time we made a website, and that website is still active, only problem… The website looks old in the mean time. The website-design behind the graphics is perfectly up to date, but we just want to refresh the graphic looks. We hope there is someone reading this who is willing to make some nice graphics for the site… In other words we're not looking for a new website, rather for a new look&feel. You will be rewared with CDs, Shirts, free entrance tickets etc… :) If you are willing to help us or contribute: webmaster@suntriprecords.com

5.) BEATPORT
We managed to make a big leap forward for all lovers of digital music... We managed to make a deal with beatport, which means our cds are from now on available on beatport as well :)

Making a list of every party where Suntrip artists will be play is almost impossible, but we do want to name a few “picks” many old school lovers will like:

9th & 10th of july: Fractal Gate festival in Lommel – Belgium: The first edition of a festival with 2 stages: one full old is gold goa-trance stage (by Suntrip) and one stage with progressive and full on goa-trance! All info: www.fractal-gate.be

Dear Suntrippers!

Let’s start this mail with wishing you all a fantastic 2011! Let's hope this year may bring lots of health, positive vibes and releases that warm your music-heart! :)

Last year Suntrip wasn't that active, but we promise you, in 2011 you'll hear a lot of us! :) And this brings us immediately to the main points of this newsletter! :)

1.) Antares - Exodus

First of all we will release the Antares-album soon. It had a little delay but it will be released at the end of february/early march. :) The name is Exodus and it will feature 8 long tracks, ranging from downtempo to twisted acidic dancefloor madness…! But mostly, where Antares is known for: floating morning-trance! As usual the mastering is done by Tim Schuldt :)

The tracklist will look like this:

2.) Other Suntrip albums coming in 2011:

We have lots of news for future releases! :) We have an agreement with 2 Romanian artists for an album on Suntrip! The first is Artifact303! :) We are proud to tell you he will release his debut album on Suntrip, and also E-Mantra will release his second uptempo album on Suntrip this year! :)
Besides those names Mindsphere from Turkey is also working very hard on a new album, and we hope to announce some new names soon... It seems there is a new generation of talented hard working goa-artists these days! :) But some of the "older" names are producing again as well, so stay tuned! :)

In case you are an artist, and you have some nice promo tracks for a compilation... you know where to find us :) We may release a compilation as well if we have enough superb tracks :)


3.) Suntrip parties

Like usual we can tell you some parties are coming up... At the end of march we have old is gold 11 in Belgium, with Antares presenting his debut album and Nebula Meltdown from Finland will play there as well :)

At the moment it seems there will be a Suntrip party as well in Ukraine at the end of april/early may and in the summer there are already lots of festivals who booked our artists! Specially Antaris festival in the middle of july (Ra, Filteria & E-Mantra) did a good job we think :) More festivals are doing bookings now, so we hope to announce some more nice line ups later! :)

If you are an organiser and you are willing to organise Suntrip parties or book our djs/lives, don't hesitate to contact us :)

1.) Reprints!

Many of you have been unable to find our older releases. We were sorry for that all the more as 2nd hand prices were skyrocketting.
So we have the pleasure to announce the immediate availability of a limited 500-copy reissue of:

OK this is exaclty the same music bit-for-bit. But these 7 reissues also have slightly different artworks. First the Apsara one had been totally lost (computer stolen) so it had to be recreated from scratch! Also there were a few details we were unhappy with (typos, our old address in France, readability isues on Heliopolis and Twist Dreams...). So in the end, as usual, we gave priority to quality and thoroughly reviewed all these covers. The biggest changes are Apsara and Khetzal will a full color CD; and Opus Iridium with a totally different color layout, and a 4-page booklet. Overall, each got a mention "2010 limited reissue", so even our dear collectors will be happy (hint, hint).

2.) Antares album!

After some more meetings with our Belgian talent, we finalised the Antares album! It will be called Exodus. The tracks have been chosen and the artwork will be finalised soon. We deceided to make a mix between Antares and Daimon tracks, so it will be pure bliss for lovers of morning goa trance with some acid-trance influences! :)

If all goes well this album will be released around the middle of january! Of course you'll get the final info within a few weeks on our suntrip site :)

3.) Parties

Well, Suntrip music is not only music for the mind and ear, but also for your body :) Because of that we have some upcoming parties for you melodic trance lovers! :)

Many of our artists are playing around the world, and I'm sure you can find the info on many websites about those parties. But there are 2 special parties we like to mention. "Real" Suntrip label parties. Parties with only melodic goa trance by the most talented artists! :)

The first one will happen the 25th of december in Antwerpen in Belgium (all info can be found here)

The second one is a party during new year in Ukrain. They are still finalising the line up, but expect many Suntrip acts on this party! :)

We also deceided to do a small release-party for Antares if his album is released for all the Belgians in the neighbourhood of Ghent! All info will be available soon :)

4.) T-shirt contest

Because our Suntrip Records (male) T shirts have been sold out for a long time now, we deceided to make new ones! And instead of using only our own designs, we thought it would be a nice idea to add a design of someone else (or even more designs if we have many good ones)!

The rules are pretty simple. Make a design of a T shirt. Of course there should be written "Suntrip Records". But that's about all :) Except of that you have total freedom. But there are some important things. The design can't be too complicated (meaning... No very thin lines... As it is too hard to print them). And also, the design should excist out of 2 colors maximum. No Space Tribe fluoro designs... (sorry) Like that we can print the design on a red T shirt for instance while your design is yellow or white or... :)

2.) The represses!

We managed to finalise most of the represses. We had to change some info on the artwork (like our address) and in some cases the artwork itself was changed a little (in the case of Apsara – because our artwork was tolen and also Opus Iridium was changed because the original 16 page booklet will be reduced to a 2 page booklet)
This means we can go to the factory soon to reprint the cds, and like that we can make sure ALL our cds will be available again in our online shop before Christmas! :)
In our basements we also rediscovered the last few items of the very old ones like Apsara and Twist Dreams, we will sell them via discogs the next 2 weeks.

3.) The next album will be Antares! We believe in the musical brain if this very young Belgian artist who will give us a great story-telling album where tracks of Antares and his acid-trance Daimon project will be mixed! Within a few weeks you will find the final tracklist on our site…

4.) Well, what can we say? Christmas is a time to celebrate, and we will to that with no compromise! We will get the old school Israeli oldschool goa-front to Belgium to blow your brains out! Mystica, One Man Game, Sandman, Witchcraft, Green House Effect and Belgian djs Anoebis, Yani, Psytoad & Go-wax will do the rest! :) For all info check:

1.) Suntrip is proud to present SUN-CD 20 in September! And just like SUN-Cd 10 (Opus Iridium), number 20 will be something different! It will be a full ambient cd of Electrypnose…

Vince le Barde, aka Electrypnose, is probably best known as a top dark trance producer. But Suntrip wants to show, like others did before, that he is a super talented artist, who loves to explore other types of electronic music as well!

As a result we offer “Sweet Sadness”, the second ambient album by Electrypnose! The first one, “Subliminal Melancholies”, was released in 2006 and got superb feedback.
This sequel gives us more sensitive soundscapes, piano-led melodies, sinister atmospheres and atypical rhythms!

“Sweet Sadness” is a vastly diverse album. Naturally some tracks are very chilled, almost rhythmless, while others give way to more traditional Ambient. Then Vince goes forth in his explorations to modern classical music and even electro-influenced downtempo!

2.) Suntrip Reprints

As you may have noticed, many of our old cds are almost unfindable these days. They are out of stock in the shops, and even we don’t have any copies left. As we had a lot of requests for the old cds (and we also saw people selling old Suntrip cds for way too much money on discogs) we deceided to reprint a part of our old catalogue!
The cds we will reprint are:

Well, more goa-trance! At this moment 2 artists almost have an album ready! One of them is Antares, the other one will be announced once we know for sure. For the ones that are afraid now and think Suntrip will only release ambient in the future… Don’t worry, the future albums are both 100% pure goa trance
