I hate going against the law so I can have half a life of better quality, I am not a criminal..I am a patient and live in fear that in order to have that life I do have to break the law

but I also speak for those that are also to sick and dying that could benefit from the use of cannabis

I speak for myself because I know i would either be bedridden or dead without having the cannabinoids in my system and the neuro protectors from the cannabinoids saved me from having more damage to my brain from the strokes

Dear Representative Colston,
I am writing to you in hope to find an answers to my questions and some reasoning to why our government officials can overlook the views and needs of many many Alabamians. I am a senior citizen that has a lot of medical issues on my plate,my doctors seem to like to just mask the problems by keeping me drugged up on many different opiates..all of which I could very easily over dose on. While on these drugs I have no quality of life what so ever, matter of fact all I can do is be in the bed. Sir this is not the life I choose to live! Now, We had a hearing at the State House for Medical Marijuana Nov, 14, 2012,to which I spoke and several others spoke as well. There were pro and con there, and it was no compassion for the sick and dying Alabamians at all there, they came in with minds made up and didn't matter what we had to say would even make them think about it, Our very Governor stated that if we placed a bill he
would veto it if it made it to his desk, and Chairman McClendon said our bill would not see the light of day in the Health committee. Now first question is..Why on earth has 18 states seen the medicinal benefits and instated it, with 5 more on other states agendas, that is almost half of the USA. Would Alabama rather become a dustbowl with all these people needing this safer alternative medicine moving to states where they can safely attain the medicine they know works.(the government knows it works too, already has patents on it..google patent #6630507) On this medicine I have a far better Quality of life, not in the bed 24/7, and can actually get my brain to function instead of being in an almost induce coma from these opiates the drs give me.I am by no means a "stoner", I am someone that needs a safer access to my medicine that actually works. Google medical marijuana/seizure disorders and medical marijuana/ strokes,PSTD,Cancer,Chronic pain... that is just a few of my problems,Also have DDD, Spinal Stenosis, Osteoporosis, and Scoliosis of the lower spine. I Sir try to be a law abiding citzen, but I have to go against the law when it comes to getting and using the medicine I know works..this is not fair to me,nor is it fair to over 80% of Alabamians that need it. If you take a close look at the polls taken, and there are many, always over 70% are in favor for Medical Cannabis. Please Sir Talk to your fellow Representatives, show them the proof that I asked you to google,.Show them the polls and let them know also that people that took those polls are also voters. Help me in this voice help others that are too sick to have a voice.
Thank you so very Much
