Well i was kind of involved whit this moving a bit but yes, i agree it was dumb to move it so late. It should have been moved long time ago before propagandists was able to build it up as their tool. It was horrible that they did around this statued and it was going hotter every year... but i think it was win-win & lose-lose situation same time for bought sides. They kind of all got what they needed and in same time did mistakes and did not think things out properly.

But yeah, as i have some information what kind of demonstrations russian extremists was planning around april-may i do not feel to much sorry that it was moved. I also kind of like this riot that was happening - it was wake up call for many people that whit some money and right kind of propaganda you can make big mess if needed.

Estonia government also moved before the much more Estonian related statue (estonia soldier in german uniform, the only uniform that was available for estonians if they wanted to fight against soviets to protect the country) from Lihula and beated local people there so it was not only about russian statue.
Once actually the russian activists themselves get caught for painting the statue so they clearly wanted the conflict from one side (+i think some retard estonains also did it.. or rumors is at least they was drunk estonians)
If the russian nationalists would not start to make this huge anti estonia meetings and campaigns in city center then i would also be kind of fine whit this statue (nice statue himself) there as long some old war veterans go there peacefully... unfortunately it was not like that in later years.

nono, only this semester, i am in university in Riga. i have heard of the "dozor" communities before. Btw i still think it was dumb to move the bronze statue, but its no big deal. :D i dont really care where there is a statue as long as there is one

it took me 2 months on Estonia page to stop Svetlana propaganda about Soviet Union. She is related also for extremist soviet organizations in Estonia & keeps posting all over the facebook how soviet union tried to save the world and primitive Baltics are worth nothing white out Soviet Union help. :)

Anyway i just noticed your message on russian page when i went to check up for Svetlana - wanted to let you know what you are dealing whit :)
