I have not looked into travel agencies as the Embassy warns that they might not provide legal services. Oh well. I hope you get your Visa and have a really good time. Let me know if you are in Stockholm. It would be nice to meet.
I have a large apartment and guest are always welcome to stay here.

Well, i can not recommend anyone to come illegally to Russia - unless one has really good connections. Specially after torrorist & "terrorist" acts the border guard is hard core i can imagine and they will not treat illegals well & all. & if your color is not directly white it can be more hard then one can imagine.
For me it took 10 days to get visa - i shall know tomorrow if i got it.
For us also it seemed restrictive (like all needed hotel bookings or invitations etc) but i found one local Russian travel agency from one forum that only asked my passport, city and time when i need visa & my phone number.
Have you been looking local Russian travel agency's? The price difference in here was more then 2 times depending who make the service.

Anyway.. if not this party - im sore we can meet up in some other partys if needed :))

I´m looking into the possibilities of going but according to the Russian Embassy in Stockholm I need to get my Visa from them and that is quite restricted and can take a long time.
So I can not see that I would be able to make it over in a way that is legal.
I don´t know if I want to risk being in Russia illegaly...

Well, let's hope the volcano will calm down a bit - would be shame to miss a gathering because of this. I actually need to go Amsterdam on next week & also hope they will not cancel my flight.. i'l keep positive:)

I put Maybe Attending to a lot of events that I want to go to.
If the Icelandic Volcano calm down I will look at the possibility of getting over there.
I have some other friends in S:t Petersburg that would be great to catch up with too.
