Hello YouTube Fans,

Don't forget to join your fellow YouTube fans this Saturday, November 22nd 8 PM EST, 5PM PST, for a live streaming event that is part concert, part variety show and part party! YouTube Live will honor the most groundbreaking, creative, and buzzworthy videos and individuals from the site’s early days through today. Be sure to visit http://www.youtube.com/live for updates on acts, and to watch the live stream online. The event will be filmed live from Fort Mason Center's Herbst Pavilion in San Francisco.

Previously announced participants include internet born stars Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em and Esmee Denters, Grammy Award winners’ Will.I.Am and Akon, and Discovery Channels’ MythBuster stars Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman.

New acts scheduled to join this lineup include known performers such as, pop star Katy Perry, YouTube favorite Fred, choreographer Jon M. Chu and The League of Extraordinary Dancers, performer Brandon Hardesty, guitar hero Joe Satriani, comedian Bo Burnham, 80s legend MC Hammer, indie rock group The Spinto Band and UK vlogger Katers 17.

In addition, the "Vlog Squad," a group of long-time YouTube community members, will offer exclusive, behind-the-scenes access from different areas of the venue; William Sledd, Michael Buckley (What the Buck), Lisa Nova, and Tay Zonday have already been named as part of this ace reporting team. Tay Zonday will also put his vocal pipes to work as the announcer for the show and Mike Relm will serve as house video/audio mash up turntablist.

Project: Report (Round 1)

In partnership with the Pulitzer Center, YouTube presents Project: Report, a journalism contest (made possible by Sony VAIO & Intel) intended for non-professional, aspiring journalists to tell stories not covered by traditional media outlets that might not otherwise be told.

In each of the three rounds of Project: Report, reporters will be given an assignment to complete. Winners of each round will receive technology prizes from Sony VAIO & Intel, and the grand prize winner will be granted a $10,000 journalism fellowship from the Pulitzer Center to report on story outside their home country.
